Episode 1: James Hunter
We want to thank James Hunter for letting us visit his shop to interview him as the very first guest on our podcast. James graduated from the barbering program at our Upland campus in 2017. Since passing state board, James has started his barbering franchise, The Gentlemen’s Touch, and is cementing his place in the industry. He is looking to open a beauty supply chain and to cut hair on set for Netflix productions. We sat down for an hour with James and we really got to understand his journey.

Jeff and Joe sit down with Brock Goldberg of ERGO Styling Tools as he visits the cosmetology students at Salon Success Academy. Brock is a world-class educator and has traveled the hair show circuit doing platform work, presented in-salon educational programs throughout America, and is now contributing his own insights into the curriculums for ERGO. Brock’s newest venture is his new podcast “Back to Your Story”. Brock is passionate about life and has an amazing story to tell!

Episode 3: Cole Thompson
In this episode of the Salon Success Academy Podcast, Joe and Jeff interview Cole Thompson! Cole is a globally recognized hairstylist and the founder of Elevation H.
Cole shares his inspiring story starting from humble beginnings to becoming the youngest creative director in the history of Vidal Sassoon. Cole offers valuable insights for aspiring hairstylists and shares how to establish yourself in the beauty industry. He also underscores the importance of persistence and how consistently reinventing yourself can lead to success.
Cole Thompson is the founder of Elevation H and a globally recognized hairstylist. Cole Thompson is originally from Manchester, England, and has been active in the hair industry since 2000. As the youngest creative director in the history of Vidal Sassoon, Cole was able to come to America to teach a generation of hairstylists. Cole founded Elevation H in 2015 and has been working with Salon Success to deliver the best hair education possible. He travels around the world, providing top-notch education to students and professionals around the globe. Cole’s passion for educating is evident in his work as he continues to help others strive for excellence in all areas of the industry. With over two decades of experience working in the beauty industry, Cole has gained a unique perspective on cosmetology and success. Tune in to learn more!
Episode 4: Brandy Hamilton
Ms. Brandy is the Director of campus affairs at Salon Success Academy. She graduated from cosmetology school in Nevada in 2007 and has been an educator at Salon Success since 2012. Brandy has been a cosmetology instructor, a campus director, and now is the Director of campus affairs. She works tirelessly to ensure that each campus is running as smoothly as possible. Episode 5: Thomas “LECHE” Navarro
This episode features the incredible Thomas “LECHE” Navarro. Leche is the owner of Downtown Leche (DTLE) in Los Angeles. He has been a licensed cosmetologist for nearly a decade, and he specializes in short hair haircutting. Leche has performed multiple haircutting demos at Salon Success Academy, and our students love whenever he comes in to visit.
Leche is a global educator for many prominent brands and has established partnerships with industry leaders including Hattori Hanzo, Get Squire, Classic Barber Products, Barber Supply 652, Illusion, and Elevation H. As talented as a hairstylist as Leche is, he is an even better human. He dedicates his time inspiring the next generation of beauty professionals, gives back to his community, and has a passion for making others feel valued. Leche is one of a kind.
