15th Annual Welcome to Our World (W.O.W.) Returns for another Successful Year

April ’15

Welcome to Our World (W.O.W.)Welcome to Our World (W.O.W.) returned for its 15th year to the State Capitol in Sacramento, CA. Hosted by the Professional Beauty Federation of California (PBFC) and sponsoring companies, the event gives beauty industry executives the opportunity to educate state policymakers and regulators about current issues in the beauty industry and shine a positive light on their profession.

Salon Success Academy’s very own Robert Gross is the founder and chairman of the PBFC and has attended W.O.W. every year since its creation. This year, Director of Marketing Jeff Gross was also in attendance.

Industry volunteers and sponsors are the driving force behind W.O.W. This year, over 200 salon services were performed by more than 40 beauty professionals who volunteered their time and expertise during the 4 hour event.

After getting a barber cut, San Diego State Senator said, “it’s one thing to hear about an industry and the concerns, but to experience it at the hands of the professionals at the Capitol is really something special.”

Founded in 2000, PBFC is dedicated to raising the professionalism of the beauty industry and representing the best interest of beauty professionals across the state.
