Overview of the Manicuring Program

If you have a passion for nails, then our manicuring program may be a great fit for you! This is our shortest program at Salon Success Academy, taking as little as 12 weeks to complete. Qualified instructors teach a range of nail and manicure-related topics, including how to give manicures and pedicures in a variety of mediums, how to give hand and foot massages, how to perform nail repairs and wraps, how to develop and maintain client relationships, and much more. Students also work in our student clinics under the direct supervision of licensed instructors, providing members of the community with nail services while using the latest tools and nail products.

Our comprehensive 400-hour program combines in-depth classroom instruction, hands-on training, and personalized guidance from educators who are dedicated to your success. After completing the required training hours at our manicurist school, you’ll be eligible to take the State Board exam—the essential step toward becoming a licensed nail technician and launching your new career.

Multiple Schedules Available

Full-time students can complete the manicuring program in as little as 12 weeks, and part-time students can complete it in as little as 21 weeks. Completing the program provides students with adequate hours to sit for the state exam. At Salon Success Academy, we offer night and day classes, giving students more flexibility when it comes to scheduling. We want you to succeed without needing to put your life on hold.

Which campuses offer the manicuring program?

We are happy to offer Nail Technology courses at many of our California locations including: Corona, Fontana, Redlands, Riverside, and Upland.

Do students perform manicures and pedicures on real clients at Salon Success Academy?

Yes, students practice techniques they have learned in class on real clients from the community who come to our student clinics. All services provided by students are under the direct supervision of licensed professionals.

What are the prerequisites for taking the nail tech training courses?

To join our nail tech school, you must be at least 17 years old, and you must show U.S. completion of 12th grade (diploma or transcripts), GED, or pass results for the HiSET or TASC exam.

How much does it cost to learn to be a nail technician?

The cost of our manicuring training program is:

Registration Fee: $100
Nail Tech Kit: $1,600
Student Tuition Recovery Fund: $0
