You and your makeup started out fresh but now it’s the end of the day and you’ve got a hot date but no time. How do you turn daytime makeup into a look that will rock the night? Follow these 5 easy steps and transform your daytime makeup to nighttime in no time at all.
Do a Quick Cleanup
Remove unwanted oil without messing up the makeup you still have by using a blotting paper or a tissue. Simply pat your T-Zone, the part of your face that is made up of the forehead, nose, chin and area around your mouth. Be sure to gently press the tissue or blotting paper so you don’t remove your existing makeup entirely. You want to stick with the existing palette that got you through the day. You can also use a loose translucent powder to seal and set your makeup so it will last longer and stay shine free.
Freshen Your Face
Apply an illuminating highlighter to wake up your daytime look and give your face a pearly glow that will last the whole night. Streak the highlighter upwards on your cheekbones and under your eyes. The highlighter can be gently spread on using a concealer brush, or even your finger. It will brighten, lighten, and make you radiate!
Lengthen Your Lashes
You can’t actually lengthen your lashes but you can give the illusion of long lashes. Get voluminous lashes without washing off your mascara by first combing them with a lash brush. If it seems that a lot of your mascara flakes off (no bueno) run the comb through warm water. Make sure to wipe the comb of any excess water but leave enough on the comb so that it will help strip the lashes but not completely. This is your prep work to add numerous rounds of mascara. You can also use a mascara reviver. A reviver declumps and softens existing mascara to prep it for more mascara.
Touch Up Your Brows
Use a precision point waxy eyebrow pencil or balm with a shaping brush to get well-defined power brows. The wax will help hold brow shape and color throughout the night. Be quietly bold and let your eyes do the talking.
Get Luscious Lips
Amp up your lip gloss with a lip liner and a darker hue for night time. Instantly transform your look by outlining your lips with a lip pencil a shade or two darker than your lipstick or gloss. Lip liner defines your lips, making them the statement piece for your whole face. To make your lips appear plumper, pencil slightly outside of your natural lip line.
