It’s a new season. Are you ready for some new styles? Skip the UV rays for your nails, and try Dip Powder. Or turn any polish into a matte polish. Check out 4 new nail products you can get at the salon or use at home:

Dip Powder

Dip powder may not be new, but it’s making a noteworthy comeback –probably because it helps your manicure last longer and it’s super easy to use.  Instead of gel polish and UV rays to seal in your polish, try dip powder for color and seal. Between base coats and a sealant, you dip your nails into a little jar of your chosen color of pigmented powder. If you get the procedure done in a salon, though, there will be no dipping (for sanitary reasons); a nail technician will apply the powder. Color lasts a whopping three to four weeks!

Gel-Like Polish

How about a gel-like manicure that lasts for two weeks –again, no UV light necessary? Brand polishes like Essie and Sally Hansen are creating gel polishes that can last up to 14 days. And since they don’t require UV rays, they are safer for you to use than the gel polishes you get at the salon. A heads-up though, prices for the polishes tend to be higher due to the ingredients necessary to make the mixture last longer.

Matte Top Coat

Matte finishes are crazy popular now. You’ll find them on luxury autos, sultry lips, and fancy nails. Matte-ify your nails with the amazing new product that turns any polish into a matte finish. Simply apply your polish as usual and once your nails are dry, apply the matte top coat. Your nails will turn from shiny to matte in no time. Insider tip: when your polish starts to chip apply the matte top coat and it will help hide any blemishes.

Nail Polish Pens

Gone are the days of painfully trying to adorn your nails with designs like hearts and stars. Nail Polish Pens can help you create any design you want easily. Apply your polish as you normally would. Then, once your polish is dry use the pens to decorate. Seal the polish with a top coat and you’re done!
